Every Lighting Design is Unique

As every lighting design project we undertake is bespoke, we cannot provide a standard fee. Our fee proposal reflects the scope of work necessary to complete the work to a high standard according to your specific project requirements and to meet lighting guidelines.

Common factors will influence the pricing, for example the size and timescale of the project, the complexity of the lighting design, the intricacy of the intelligent lighting management system (lighting controls), the number of site visits and the level of services provided.

The payment structure is based on a blended combination of a ‘fixed fee,’ a ‘time based rate,’ and a ‘retainer fee.’

Fixed Fee

    • Fixed fee contracts include the performance of an agreed service as outlined in our Design Proposal for an agreed fee
    • The consultancy service is broken down into work stages as explained in the lighting design process
    • The fee for the individual stage of the lighting design scheme is outlined in the fee schedule

Time-based rate
We charge for site visits, separately, on a ‘time based rate’ (hourly rate). You can, of course, request additional site visits at any time during the project.

Retainer Fee
A 50% ‘retainer’ payment of the consultancy’s invoices is required before commencing the lighting design process. Plus a further 25% payment is required at the end of stage 3 and the remaining 25% is payable at the completion of the technical design.
